Sincere Love for the Territory

Lagarina Valley is a unique land, deeply aware of its roots, characterised by a sincere love for the territory, the environment and by a remarkable cultural vivacity. Geographically located in Southern Trentino, Adige river flows through it towards Verona, from the medieval fortress in Beseno to the Castle in Sabbionara d’Avio. In these lands, among medieval villages and castles spreads a long lasting traditional vineyard scenery.

Rovereto and Vallagarina

Cultural capital of Trentino

The town named Rovereto , institutional, artistic and cultural centre could be defined as “cultural capital of Trentino”. It is also well known worldwide for its monumental Peace Bell and for the famous MART – Contemporary and Modern Art Museum, host of several important exhibitions. The town and the surrounding villages spread a feeling of tradition, still alive in the soul of our agriculturists.

The Location

The geologic history of the valley and the creeks that from the surrpunding mountains merge into the Adige river have formed a variety of soils. Such a richness, combined with the climate differentiations due to the hilly landscape and its multitude of sun exposure zones allow Lagarina Valley to be suitable for the growth of many vine varieties and thereby offer to the market a wide set of wines.

Several International vine varieties found in Lagarina Valley a perfect habitat, such as Cabernet (Nogaredo), Merlot (Borgo Sacco) as well as Chardonnay (Prà dei Fanti) and Pinot Bianco. Besides these we grow a number of autochthonous vines, such as the Marzemino Gentile, emblem of the valley and cultivated in Ziresi, Fornas and Isera; the Nosiola, outstandingly cultivated in Vallunga and the Moscato Giallo from the hillside of Besenello. Furthermore we can list the recently introduced Müller Thurgau and Sauvignon Blanc, cultivated respectively in Savignano and in the sunny terraces on the right bank of Adige, conditions which exalts their best features.
